I have been practicing partial hanging for 3-4 month, and i cant get it right i cant find the "sweet spot". i was never close to get my self to pass out, i have tried the rope on every position on my neck (above, blow or on the adam apple), and i have treid every position (on my feet, on my knees or laying down) i have tried to hyperventilate and hold my breath for 4 min just to see if i can pass out but i cant. the closest i got to pass out is that one time when i pushed so hard with my hands on my neck, my vision started to get black but then it went normal and nothing happend, the only thing that happens while practicing is either my head will fill up with blood or i just cant breath. i also have done so much research that there is almost nothing i dont know about this methode. ( English isnt my first lang )

If you feel like your head is going to explode and fill with blood, it's because you're only compressing the jugular veins. You may need more weight to also compress the carotid arteries.

The ideal spot is where you feel the strongest pulse, under the jaw (on both sides of the neck)

What kind of rope do you use? Types of knots?

i know that, if the rope is under my addam apple my head feels its gonna explode, and when above, somthims my head and ears get warm and i will have difficulties braething after 10 secs or so

i have tried this in the picture and a shoe ties both same effect but shoe ties hurts more , i have also tried necktie but it dosnt support my weight.

In my opinion a rope would be better. 12 mm, always check the load resistance (that it supports your weight) Perhaps with better materials and applying more weight you can achieve losing consciousness (5/15 sec)

Obviously you won't be able to breathe or swallow once you're hanging.

Full is always better than partial.

Since touching the ground (partial hanging) will depend on the body position you choose and how your weight will be distributed in it. It is more complicated to make it work, most of the users who have tried it are failed attempts.

Idk it's more of a willpower thing. Prisoners hang themselves with bedsheets or shoelaces from their bed post.
Gotta put your full weight in there. Obviously won't be able to breath. Arteries are behind the trachea so no breathing. If you can breath it's not enough pressure. If your head fills with blood it's not enough pressure.
Not so complicated. Thers no sweet spot. Just needs a ton of pressure to close arteries that are behind your trachea. Full is better cause then you'll have enough pressure. Don't do it on your knees or sitting. Need legs for extra weight. Best is standing then throw both feet in front of you. Minimal loss of weight.Rope will slide up your neck anyway so might aswell put it there. Hyperventilate so you can hold your breath for longer than throw your legs forward have your whole body weight in it. You loose maybe a tiny fraction of your body weight from your feet being limp on the floor but it's almost the same pressure as full suspension. Peace

i have never thought of Hyperventilate befor partial, i tried it, it worked, i Hyperventilate for a 1 min, i had timer on my phone, i was not even puttin presure on my neck, i passed out without noticing anything and the next thing i was on the floor with the rope on my neck still putting presure but it was ripped off on the other side, i looked at the timer it was 1:10, my arm was bleeding and my throat hurts soo much

partial hanging is the least reliable and unsafest method on earth-my suggestion: forget it completely and do FSH which has the highest success rate because it's soooo lethal,no way to back out either...something for the determined ones

I think to pass out you need much more pressure than you probably think. You can forget about sweet spot. Rope should be under chin. When I applied enough pressure with partial I started to pass out almost instantly.
Also partial might not be as easy as full suspenison, but it can definitely work. It worked for many celebrities including Robin Williams, Chris Cornell, Chester Bennington, L'Wren Scott, Caroline Flack, Anthony Bourdain...
