So my mother works at a printing shop, manual labor. 2 days ago my mother told me that they desperately need a worker and asked me to come work with her. I said no, since Idk if I am in a mental state to be able to work 8 hours without panicking, I have rly bad anxiety.
Then, literally 10 mins ago, she called me and told me that they are basically begging me to go for at least 5 days to try, that is how much they need my work.
Idk what to do.
Older folks, pls give me advice on how to stay calm working with people and not being anxious :(
I want to work but I am so scared.

I'm not old per se, but I do have a bit of work experience. And as someone who also struggles with anxiety I completely understand your frustrations. The best advice I can give you would be to give yourself some grace. It's your first job. You're allowed to make mistakes, get things wrong, everyone does. With the more experience you get, the less anxiety inducing it will become.

It's brilliant you have this work offer so go you for that! I have lots of work experience and anytime you start a new job your going to be nervous and you will make mistakes thats totally normal, once you have started your first day I promise you that the most part of the anxiety will clear once you have met who your working with and got the basic jist of the job and the next day you'd feel a lot more ready. Whenever I have started a new job im always really anxious because I don't know anyone and don't know exactly what ill be doing but by the end of the first day I'm always a lot more confident.

So don't be too hard on yourself and push yourself to atleast do one day and let me know how you got on yeah?
