Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Someone in my life needed about $200 I had because he crashed his car and now can't work because it was a rental and he Ubers. He didn't have any money saved to rent another car so I gave him some because there really wasn't another choice.

Now I am anxious because I have no money (I don't have bills so it's fine) and he also owes me $230 that I gave him a while ago. I don't have anything I really need to buy but I did want to buy myself charms because that was my birthday/christmas money and I haven't bought anything like a charm yet, it's mostly been food.

I have no idea when I am going to get paid back but I know it will be a while. He hasn't even gotten approved for the new car yet and then he has to get approved for uber again so he can only do Uber Eats/doordash which doesn't pay well. I am assuming he'll only be able to buy the car + insurance saving everyday.

I don't mind too much it just gives me anxiety and I wanted to buy those charms soon because it's one of the really nice things I can afford to gift myself. It's more important that he works though and I do always want to help so I focus on that, in the moment that's why I offered it wasn't really a thought.

It's hard not having money as an adult and I am going to start talking to him about saving because he does get a lot of money ubering because we live in a big city and he figured out how to maximize profit. He just likes to get money and then save it and not work at times because he has depression. But things need to change because even though I like to help I can't keep getting all my money going towards something other than me all the time.
