Hey
@pthnrdnojvsc -
So 200ml would put you to sleep.
Period.
This is the exact product I had x 2:

Pisabental ie pentobarbital ie N

(I show this image of the red label bottle for comparison only - they are the same medicine, same drug, only named differently. I've only ever had the blue and white tinted bottles)
I just checked my small medicine dosing cups and 30ml is the max fill line, which I would fill to that line, maybe a
bit over, and I was on many other drugs at the time because of the injury (muscle relaxers, antiemetics, oxycontin etc.)
If one were to experiment, and was coming from a situation where they hadn't ever tried N, 10 or 15ml would be a fair starting point. 10ml may seem an extraordinarily small dose, but N is
strong. I find at times it's underestimated just how strong it is, and I refer again to what I once had and consumed, which is the Pisabental in first photo meant for intravenous use.
I wouldn't recommend a starting dose of 30ml off the bat for those who may have low to no tolerance of sedation at this level.
Now, if someone
does have tolerance built up, 30ml is more than sufficient for sleep of at
least 8 hours. It acts
quickly - one should preferably be in bed and ready to sleep when taking the dose.
In powder form, I probably would've been doing the same.
It can be interpreted as contradictory, sure - some people are groggy after anesthesia, but not all.
I am in the "not all" category.
When I'd be put under for ECT treatments, I wouldn't wake up groggy. I woke each time in amazement, if anything. Amazement at how I didn't feel groggy, how quickly it all went, and didn't need use of a wheelchair though that's the protocol with ECT - patients aren't allowed to walk back to the ward like nbd. They are wheeled back. At least at the hospital where I received ECT.
An over abundance of caution is taken in hospital setting, for obvious reasons.
But yeah - anesthesia doesn't leave me groggy, nor did the intravenous Pisabental consumed over a period of months.
