  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is not a post bashing or criticizing the European Union.
I wish I could be in South America. Having no access to N or SN. Or any medication. Yet alone that for example to Benzos. Every and any real helpful (regardless if it's fatal) medication is only available with prescription.
And doctors would not prescribe you the medication you want.

South American countries of course are more dangerous. But I would not be treated like a child and I am really free and responsible for my life.

I am afraid of being put under a watch list because of my government for wanting to suicide. They control and want to make It more difficult to end one's life. It got worse than Eastern Germany. Which had more suicide rates, though it's citizen were monitored throughly. And they had shortage of good and materials.

I don't have now the energy to do nearly anything. My body is not my own. No autonomy over my body and own life decisions. I am trapped in a nightmare, which does not want to end.

I don't have the energy more to continue. No access to guns. Deadly guns are not available legally. If I did succed in getting stuff to end my life through several underground connections or the dark web. Then I would not be here. Of course I did not do that. Anything illegal. I am not also supporting doing anything illegal.

Yeah, I don't care about anything. Laws and society/government are here to make me suffer and enslave me. I am fine with that. At least I have death, which is the total freedom.

I wish I had a friend who would support me in the journey of ending my life. I don't need that he would provide me the medication or money. But someone who would have the connection and/or knowledge how to do it successfully. I failed ending my life on my own without any help or support of another one. I mean if you do end your life through hanging yourself. Then you would need a rope, which someone did create for you. The rope should be the correct one. Not in my case, where the material of the rope dissolve/damaged it self. It could not hold my weight, which is underweight.

Well, to be fair, it is also illegal in Southern American countries to carry a gun around and there are many requirements. The law is just carried out poorly which results in so many firearm deaths.

I get that you feel monitored and controlled. Unfortunately instead of investing in mental health services countries prefer to restrict and humiliate. That's simpler for them I guess.

There no perfect place, but things got very worse after 2019.

But you still can get research chemicals (opioids, benzos) in Europe easily.

Exactly! Western "democracies" are nowhere free or have liberty. Quite the contrary. I believe western democracies are dictatorship for 90% of people and "freedom" for the ownership class and the government (their lackies).

In third world countries the governments are weaker, so much bureaucracy is not done. Instead, you have gangs and vigilantes to deal with, but at least they are only interested in profit and more local, and you can flee to another place and buy fake papers. In the EU, the police would track you all over the continent.

I watched some videos of gangs in Mexico. Their violence against their rivals and enemies is brutal. Some go as far to rip their rivals alive.

Living in the US and knowing plenty of South Americans who left everything to come here for safety, I can tell you that we are in a much more desirable situation than them. I'm in agreement there's a ton of issues with our systems of government and the balance of power of corporations and special interests, but I live every day without any concern for my safety. Many of them on the other hand, fled from horrific circumstances and made arduous travel 100s or 1000s of miles to arrive here. My grandmother fled the totalitarian Cuban government on a rickety little boat to travel to the US, a trip plenty die trying to make. It is much easier for someone with an EU passport to move to another continent than it is for many living in a third world country where they may have no resources to leave easily or even be allowed to by their government.

Both SN and antiemetics are easily available in the EU. And to me that's actually a huge advantage of EU because when your country bans something, you still have 26 chances for a relatively easy purchase

These people migrate for economic reasons mostly, and the rest flee because they specifically stepped on the foot of one of those gangs. It's no different from when an American citizen is persecuted by his own government for stepping on their foot, he would want to flee to Mexico or Europe or something (because he is no longer safe in America and threatened with prison).

Mexico's murder rate is 3-4 times the murder rate of the US (stats fluctuated a bit between 2021-23) so I'm not sure what statistics back up the claim that they are not living in a far more dangerous environment.

Yes most of that is cartel related, but having lived around lots of gang activity for decades, I guarantee you that gang violence isn't a problem as long you don't "step on their foot". Violent environments have shown to cause significant prevalence of PTSD.
