I go to sleep as early as 9 pm sometimes. To think that one day all of this will be over.

I have been feeling the exact same way lately. I will take to it by 7pm and stay there for 12 hours if I can. I completely understand where you are coming from

I certainly see sleeping as the best way to pass the time as it's the closest thing to not existing after all. But in my case no amount of temporary sleep could bring any relief as long as the chance of waking is always there. Only eternal sleep could bring true peace for me as one cannot suffer from an eternal and dreamless sleep but the way that you feel really is understandable.

Am struggling with my sleep but know what you mean, of course, and totally agree. It's worth cherishing.

Am not totally convinced that death really is eternal or that nothiness provides peace, so my ideal death would be just floating through space in a hypersleep chamber, basically a floating bed like in the Alien movies, and just sleep for millions of years, occasionally taking a look at the sights, then turning to the other side and dozing off again.

Same. I wish I could fall asleep forever and never wake up again. I think I use sleeping and dreaming as a form of escapism. Sometimes I spend my whole days sleeping because I don't want to get up and face reality/the world.

My dreams are pretty good quality at the moment. After months of nightmares I'm actually enjoying them.

Definitely avoiding a few real-life issues though...

Sleep is great. The mini-death. I love curling up in my blankets and body pillows. Listening to ASMR videos.
For some reason though, the past two years, I wake up with sore shoulders. I think I forgot how to sleep on my side or something.

I like your description "mini death", I just love the feeling of falling asleep and feeling unconscious

I have never slept very well, but the other night was one of those rare(for me)times when I was curled up in bed with my sweet girl beside me, all comfy and warm, and I was so comfortable and able to relax. I am usually anxious so I didn't want to move and lose that feeling. If I do fall asleep it is always interrupted and very light.

I too wonder what the exact relationship is between the normal sleep and death.

There must be some deep intricate meaning behind it, but I think understanding it is out of reach for humanity for the time being.

I stay in bed for around 14 hours a day I think. I can sleep from 10 to 12 hours. I for sure can't take too much of this world at a time, so I need to reset my stress level by being unconciouss.

Me too. I didn't nap during the day until a couple of years ago. Only thing that keeps me going now.

Man I wish I had this problem, I'm the opposite where sleeping makes me so uncomfortable. I try to only sleep during the day or when other people are around because that's when I feel safest. I have many nightmares. I also used to have control over my dreams, not much, but now it's a big chance I either have a nightmare or something entirely random that makes me uncomfortable. Now I can barely think about things that would help me sleep other than embracing total nothingness.

Ah, I've been high several times and I've had some bad trips. For me it worsens my anxiety, so I like distracting myself until I'm either too tired or bored to do anything.
