I don't think I'll ever grow up.

Growing up I noticed I was always more socially behind/culturally less aware than other people. In elementary school I never followed along to just being able to do schoolwork or study,like I never found It important enough to prepare for tests or actually do homework like my classmates. At high school this got a little better but was just less aware of social stuff that my peers seemed naturally attuned to,thank god for the internet otherwise I'd have fucking nothing but books and imaginary friends to understand me.
Now at the end of my rope I'm very restrospective ,I don't think,even if I grew up to being an adult. I'll ever grow mentally. I guess I won't be a traditional kid ,I never was like other kids back then but I'll always be this infantile thing that seems to be always lagging behind in terms of thinking and actions.

This is so relatable. I'm a kid-kid I feel like I'm so behind yet I feel like a 80 yrs who has so much pressure just to be fit in the society and do as said. I was the same kid in elementary or school and college. :(

I'm doing the same. Every memory is embarrassing. Having handled so many things like a child instead of an adult.

It's comforting to see so many others struggling with the same issue, though sad as well. This really is what made everything wrong in my life

I guess I somewhat relate to this. Not completely, but somewhat yes. I still feel like early 20s despite being mid 30s by now.
