I have monthly reviews with my practitioner regarding my medication. I just don't know what to say to her anymore. She probably wants me to up my dose of Prozac, again. I mean I just feel like a numb, zombie most of the time now. However, before I took the meds I was breaking down a lot more, so they help with that. Oh well. Never mind. I guess when I am gone from this world talking about pills will be no longer a requirement.

The world of brain altering chemicals is so deep and confusing. What is good, what is bad? And for who, in what circumstance? When is it just prescribers looking for kickbacks and when is it a sincere prescription? When it takes effect, is it actually helping or actually harming?

It seems that for many people suffering greatly, it is just an additional obstacle course to get through thinking about. But many people need something other than mindfulness and lifestyle support.

Hi there, I have the exact same problem, it's crazy. Every month I see the doctor and she asks me how I feel. My mind gets stuck. You don't even know where to start, or even what has gotten better if that's the case. I also take a similar medication to Prozac, which is Zoloft. Every time we meet, she asks ''to a scale from 0 to 10'' how much does it help you with anxiety, depression and ocd? I answer vaguely since I never know what and how to answer properly.

She ends up upping my dose every time we meet. I went from 25g to 100g. I'm breaking down even more, just like you. I don't know what to do or say anymore too. Sucks right.

I literally just finished a meeting with my practicioner, so nice timing lol. I just continue to lie and give her really dry answers. In my experience medication has literally done nothing to help. Only thing that helps is actually feeling motivated to get better. If you really don't feel like meds are working, I guess there isn't really a point in paying for them.

I think I was on Zoloft many years ago while in psych ward. It noticeably made me feel much worse. I got off it as soon as they let me, I think. It's hard to remember even, so much of that time is just fog.

yeah. It kinda makes me blank if you get it. Should I just tell the doctor that it doesn't work and it's been worsening quite a lot? thanks for your feedback.

No idea really. Once off it, you need to manage not being fogged. I have and it's been a long time but since we could be totally different people, who knows? I'd certainly tell her to stop upping it and maybe reducing to see the result.

I have the exact same issue. "how have you been feeling in the weeks since we last met"? "I don't really know what to tell you. I'm in pain because I want to die and there isn't a single legal way for me to accomplish that, or find someone to help me with".
I just get ignored.
"Oh, you're moving to a slightly less shitty room soon? And your gov assistance will be approved soon? That's great! Everything is moving forward now!"
I constantly feel like I'm being gaslit.

Thanks for sharing your own thoughts and feelings on similar issues everybody. It appears that many of us are going through the same kinds of shit here. It's like being caught between a rock and a hard place. The joys eh? I wish life wasn't so darn complicated. 🤔

I don't even bother with my psychiatrist, I just tell her what she wants to hear... I fucking hate going to her, but my family insists on it and if I don't go the local authorities get called. It's jut a matter of time before I ctb anyway.
