• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Aside from feeling like I always do, I get all these compliments that just don't resonate with me. I even got asked if I wanted to be a peer advocate for my group therapy sessions. The upside is was also asked to teach the group about mixing music and about computers. Two things I've taught myself. I think it could be good for me? I just have difficulty seeing what other people see. To me I am nothing, but to every other person in my life I'm "incredible". I just don't get it. To me it's all a very elaborate lie and I don't know how to feel otherwise. I guess I'm still trying, I just question every step.

You are to be commended for being able to maintain an honest evaluation of yourself. Some people can have their pride and vanity inflated and get a distorted view of themselves and the world. A person who might have an above average ability, when praised, might keep an awareness of their own shortcomings, much like an artist that is praised but sees where he himself falls short.

Some offer praise as a sincere compliment. Others may see in you a tool they can use. You may wish to be cautious as what you are drawn into. Having a clear view of truth can be vary useful especially when evaluating ourselves because it can maintain true humility. However, it can also allow us a clearer view of the world that many do not wish to hear.

I relate to this a lot. Its so frustrating. I have now isolated from friends and family due to it (and other communication issues). Just feel like such a fraud when I find myself being popular when that is not right at all. And just ends in arguments if I try to explain. Sorry you feel this too. Its so lonely feeling out of place amongst people.
