I grew up in a secluded religious community. And everyone here believes that we have a divine right to be racist and bigoted because we are gods chosen nation(and other bullshit). They casually refer to black people as "uhbids"("slaves" in arabic) and dehumanize anyone that isnt of our blood. I i dont have any friends now because every person ive ever been around has been a piece of shit. I never even had a fucking chance to have a friend. Ive just been shackled to this cult and its ruiney my chance to be normal. All i have is my family and thats not by choice. These people are just as hateful as everyone else so every night i have to listen to their ultra right wing racist homophobic transphobic shit. I dont even know how to act around normal people anymore. It makes me want to tear my skin listening to them

Probably but i wouldn't have the heart to abandon them, even though they are so awful. Id rather die and not have to feel bad for leaving them cause i know they dont deserve my guilt

My dad is Arab and my mom is Hispanic. My dad's family basically disowned him and stopped talking to him for months just because he didn't marry somebody who was Arab. Surprisingly a lot of people have that in them, and I always felt uncomfortable around that side of my family (at least the older people) for obvious reasons. The only lucky thing is that for a long time my dad's side lived in Jordan and Chicago, and I live on the West Coast, so I didn't have to see them much (then again, my mom's family who lives by me is simply Mexican Trump-supporters). I would imagine that it feels way more fucking isolating if you're around people like that ALL the time (i.e. you're from a Middle Eastern country). But even then, everyone else in my life aside from my family hated me too growing up, and I just stopped sharing my identity especially online (even with people I used to know for YEARS on the internet). I think this might be the first time I've ever stated my identity on the internet ever aside from telling people I'm Mexican because otherwise they'd likely just defer to terrorist jokes instead of the occasional construction ones. Even the more 'liberal' friends I used to have would still be the same racist, Western-supremacist assholes who hold half the beliefs that right-wingers do about people from other countries (with maybe the same performative token recognition of LGBT or non-religious people from the Middle East that Israelis do). Pretty much any friend I used to have I basically had to try and constantly convince them that I'm not subhuman because I happen to be born into a family that is Muslim. There's really no winning ever unless you're White -then you can go into impoverished countries and try and convince people from the First World that 'foreigners' have feelings too!! Sorry your parents are like that. Mine are too but luckily have the decency of not being racist.

Oh i dont live in the middle east but my family is super zionist. They also for example would be super hateful towards you and consider you subhuman due to your arab heritage. They are just all around garbage human beings who feel inherently superior than any other type of human. I get wanting to conceal your identity, people arent as accepting as they seem it feels like.
