I know it was a joke, but I was bothered by it. It seems to me, sometimes, that women cannot do anything right in relation to sexuality. If we express sexual desire, that means we are sluts who would get on with just about anybody; on the other hand, if we are asexual/not interested in sex we are portrayed as frigid, stuck up etc. I am not the one who would usually cry sexism, but I am bothered by the disrespectful attitude a lot of men have towards the women they were once with.

Funnily enough, a lot of liberal, progressive, "tolerant" men who pretend to respect women and treat them as equals have no problem with humiliating and shaming women for expressing their sexuality. At least the men who are openly "sexist" and who believe in traditional gender roles are more honest. Sorry about the rant, but I had to get this of my chest.

Yes you are right you guys deserve a lot more respect for the fantastic work you do in the community.
Although some sex workers do have addictions, this shouldnt take away from the fact that so many of you guys choose this as a vocation, and are very much under recognised for your contribution to society.
