I attempted to hang myself with a belt three days ago. I feel like it was stupid. It was extremely impulsive and was not my method of choice.
I had drunk some alcohol prior and was just not thinking. I used one of my belts and wrapped it around the metal shower rod. I then proceed to wrap the belt around my neck tightly. I leaned down and kneeled on the shower base.
I felt a lot of pressure on my head for a couple seconds and a rushing sensation in my head. My vision then started to go black around the sides. This whole thing lasted no more than a minute before I gave up.
For a day after my neck was red and slightly sore, but nothing other than that.
Thinking back this was pretty stupid of me considering the belt was not long and I doubt I wrapped the belt around my neck "well"/ accurately enough. I have not researched hanging as much but I wish I was somehow successful. But as I said, it was an impulsive decision.
