How to turn chat updates off on mobile?

They keep coming up at the bottom of the screen, I guess it's a new thing.

Sorry to be a pain if you've only just set it up! I don't use chat so it's getting in the way

Yeah, please, the old format was much better. Those of us who wish to avoid shoutbox could do so easily.

It's in the menu now, still found the previous version preferable so it was avoidable if you wished, but also visible at a glance if you wished. It now requires several clicks.

After refreshing, it should be gone. You have to click on the chat button on the navigation bar to go to the chat.
