How to overcome fear of dying alone

I'm ready to go
But I'm scared of being alone in my final moments
Does anyone have any advice on how to cope with dying alone
I just think going alone is so sad and it frightens me

We do have the CTB Partner megathread, where you can find someone to be physically or electronically with you in your final moments. Or, like many users do, you can make a thread before/as you attempt. It may alleviate the feeling of "dying alone"—many, many people who die naturally get
much less than that.

I think most of us would like to have someone hold our hand as we go. But the reality is that most people who ctb will not get that.

What method do your plan to use?

I guess I'll be alone, which makes sense having been alone for the entire journey. But sometimes I think to that day as going through a portal for the next dimension: one moment you are there all alone in despair and the next one you are just the newcomer in a totally different plane of existence.

I'm not saying that I firmly believe in this cause it's not provable: but I find it comforting.

With that method, I don't think you have any chance of having someone physically with you. They would be putting themselves in too much legal jeopardy.

But you can use your phone to keep in touch with people until almost the end. If you are phoning someone in your own country, you would need to be sure that you are not creating legal problems for them. (The same might apply, though probably to a lesser extent, if you were phoning someone in another country.)

It might be better to talk to people on this site, via a goodbye thread. Or you could use one single person here whom you trust, via PMs.

You need to consider the practicalities of hanging yourself in the woods. Would you need to take a ladder with you? As a minimum, some reconnaissance would be needed, to figure out just how you would do it.

Ehhh, we, pretty much, all die alone. Most don't have someone else dying right there with them. I know this isn't what you mean, per say, but that's what in essence, it comes down to.

Following from the sage advice from @Linda regarding companions getting in trouble. If you have someone you really want to have with you on video call with you they could always get a burner SIM and make a new WhatsApp or whatever.
