Method How to compress carotids while still being able to breathe?

Title, psh from a doorknob is a possibility for me, I'd prefer to do it lying down but I'm open to anything

I was thinking psh could be possible with something to distance it from the throat but I'm not sure what would work because of the body weight pressure at the front

Ive also heard of the tourniquet method but I wasn't able to find much information on it here

Have you checked out the resource threads? The point of psh/fsh done correctly is that it keeps discomfort to a minimum. What you're thinking of is common misinformation. So in other words: good news! If you follow the instructions posted here, you should be able to breathe nornally. It's mostly a matter of positioning

Alternatively, there's also the dumbbell method (posted by Evelyn I think?) where you combine it with the door/doorframe to create a makeshift anchor point.
