Not necessarily, but I'd suggest you test it just to be sure.

Yes, as long you do that, my first batch became 3 years old but I ditched it for a fresher one to avoid any possible risks.

Over 4 years. I got the LW SN when it was still available. Whenever or if I do attempt using SN I'm going to test it first and if the results say it's still potent then I'm going to use it. If it works then that means SN can last past the expiration dates. And if anyone is curious the expiration dates for SN is conflicting from the information that I've read over the years. Some say it lasts 6 months past the expiration date while others have said it lasts for years or even indefinitely. Only one way to find out though.

Manufacturing, I guess. Which is perfectly fine. If the container is airtight, it can be left laying around for 30 years, potentially even longer, without any degradation.
