I don't think that waiting longer will change anything in how your sibling perceives it
There's never a good time to CTB.
It will always be sad and tragic. You have to come to terms with the balance of your own suffering and that of others.
Remember, we are ill, it's not our fault we want to CTB. Depression made us hate existence, only see negative and take away all joy and happiness.
Life without depression is limitless happiness, life with depression is limitless suffering.
