Can totally relateI think it's hard when you're still on the fence to some degree, consciously or unconsciously. I also believe that the longer and more deeply one contemplates suicide, the more mental barriers and doubts are erected, which creates further difficulty in actually going through with the act.
That being said, every 40 seconds someone in the world kills him/herself, so I suppose in practice it cannot be that difficult if so many people do it every single day. I imagine the process of pondering the decision, carefully weighing up the pros and cons, and finally reaching a final conclusion to die is the hardest part. I know many of us get stuck at that stage and linger there in limbo for weeks, months, years, or even decades, myself included.
