Discussion How do you pick a day to ctb?

do any of you have any conditions for the day that makes you choose it over any other day? i don't really know what goes into picking a day. honestly i just don't want it to be a hot day because i can't stand the heat and i want to be as comfortable as possible minus the dying, lol. is that stupid?

idk some people choose their bday some choose the day they get the stuff they need some chose a rainyday and others just do it when its too much. personally i cant even keep track of days. everyday i dont even know what day we are so yeah. i personally woudnt do it on daytime. i like to believe night time is perpetual everytime is night is the same night. so yeah for me it does not matter. i think for me the place and the environnement is way more important than the date itself. thats my opinion :)

to be honest, i'd prefer to die whenever i want rather than select a time in the future, but i think that the basics apply to both strategies. if/when i do die, i wanna make sure i do it on a day that:

1) isn't a holiday
2) isn't a birthday
3) isn't during when another family member is sick
4) isn't immediately following a bad day for any other reason
5) isn't on friday the 13th

the last couple weeks have all followed this..

for me im just trying to do it someday before my birthday which is august 10th. im thinking august 8th or 9th. i have about two weeks left.

im a while away from ctb still but i can share how ive been planning

1) choosing a number i like a lot to be the date

2) choosing a month in a season i like

3) making sure the date is at least a couple weeks away from any friend or family members bday

besides that id preferably want it to be a cool rainy day

i would too, but i have commitments for the next 9 days and even that long for me feels like hell.

Kinda been waiting for a day with hot weather, sunshine and with a pleasing date (f.e. I don't like odd numbers that much). No clue why that even matters to me. Obviously I need to be alone, too.

Personally I don't think I'll ctb soon, but I've certainly thought about it a lot.

I thought about dying the same day as my long-distance girlfriend goes back, but as she's really worried I'm going to ctb, I won't do it yet or anytime soon. But that would be a dream.

But there are a few anti-preferences:

• At birthdays of people that know me well (including me) as it's a downer at a time where everyone wants to be happy
• At daylight
• Spontaneously (I do like spontaneous things, but ctb should be planned and also the days before ctb'ing should be planned)
• Before something special (like a week before a wedding or something)

Would also be cool if it's a cool looking date such as the first of the month or like the 5th of May, 4th of April, 16th of April, etc., but that's optional.

Just waiting for the anti emetics, then hopefully in a strong upwelling. Its still in delivery now more then 3 weeks.

Maybe get some nice food the day before, maybe not animals or meat, just chocolate kind of food. Leave a good note so most people feel some closure. Pet myself on the back for keeping up this long and the good things I did in life. Great childhood. Put my stocks on the bank, finishing up all my bills and subscriptions. Hopefully this summer and before I reach 40. I like to die feeling a bit young, 39 is a good age for me. Leave the car and money to my oldest brother and nephews. Arrange a few funeral things like music and pictures.

Remember the woman I was in love with and she was with me, although maybe it was a psychosis we where both in love for months And the way she looked at me an we starred at eachother for hours and dreamed away on music and made future plans. I want that fresh in my memory, even if it was a dream. Who knows in a next life. Also the one love that actually worked a summer long 9 years ago. And all the people I truly connected with and appreciated me.

Happy to close my eyes because I hate the way my eyes look. I kind of like the way I look with closed eyes. Say goodbye to old age and a failling brain, nervous bad memories and just struggeling on for years. And just think of all the suffering I am avoiding by going at that moment. Saying goodbye to lonliness, joining the people I really miss and carred about me. Being proud I didnt kill myself 13 years ago and waited for the people I love to go first.

Also I want to make my peace with nature, look at the trees for a while. I' ll be climate neutral so nature must appreciate that. I' ll pray my death wont be painfull and go. It must be a terrible day, something like last week, or past days.

The funny thing is I took mushrooms the last time 13 years ago to make the disission to get an answer I its alright to go. I was in serious doubt. The answer came, the universe told me its oke to go or to stay. But it would be great if you could hang on till your family members go first. I actually achieved that and travelled the world and had one big love that worked and good friends. So life gave. Although it was one big struggle at times.
And maybe now the bill comes in anyway.

I hope the anti emetics come in soon, this is getting degrading again.

I'd actually always thought about a Saturday night. Because if you were to take something, no one would notice for a while—it's not unusual to sleep in on a Sunday.

But I've moved away from that idea, because I'd really like it to pass as a natural death, if possible.
So, you need a GP who takes a look at you but maybe doesn't look too closely. That's why I'm thinking I'd do it overnight from Sunday to Monday now. Or Monday to Tuesday.

That way, if I were found on a weekday, the GP would be available.
