I feel you. I know they don't "technically" owe us empathy or compassion, but I just don't understand how they can treat other human beings that way. I honestly don't think I could look at a student clearly upset not try to help them. Ironically I hope to get a PhD and become a professor in the future... assuming I actually succeed/don't ctb by then I'm absolutely never going to treat my students like that.Omg this hits too close to home, im studying architecture and i seriously understand nothing and this is MY THIRD YEAR and i feel sooo incredibly behind, and the profs arent helping either they're just fucking mindless bots that dont care about your feelings, only making sure to feel good about themselves, last week i turned in this huge assignment only to get 10/100, mind you the highest grade was 60/100, and when i talked to one of the prof they didnt give a single shit while i was literally crying, no one did.
I think teachers have an addiction to giving us the most awkward, inconvenient deadlines possible. They'll choose a time where they'll be out of office and refuse to answer messages or when the library is closed so you don't have any access to research without paying...I'm teetering on the brink. I'm trying to apply my accommodations for one assignment I missed (bc why df was the deadline for this the last day of Thanksgiving break).
