Probably one of my worst fears is people at my school finding out. Im in art school and im part of lgbt so im the perfect combination of stereotypes. Ive heard about people making memes the last time someone killed themselves and i know i would become the joke of the year. Is there a way to make sure people wouldn't find out? Im not sure how it works in different countries but in my experience the staff really doesn't care about privacy. When i switched middle schools the teacher informed my (soon to be) class that my mother died of cancer. I didnt find out that everyone knows for at least a year and i still dont get why she did it and why she thought it was a great idea. Im scared the same thing will happen again. Im planning on doing it at the end of summer holidays so maybe that will help but Idk. I really dont want to put the responsibility of talking to my teachers on one of my classmates. I do have my supervising teacher and the school school psychologist messenger so im thinking of sending them a message. If anyone experienced a suicide death at their school please tell me how that looked like.

No. Once you die, any private information about you or your family is out of your control. So, if even one person suspects anything, the rest will quickly if not straight up find out then at least make up relevant story.
The only consolation available is fact that you won't know about it and you won't face consequences of leaked information because you will be dead. Unless of course you fail one way or another. But then you will face the backlash for trying, not for actually dying. Different type of consequences.

Aye, this one's right. In my experiences, there was a presentation they showed the seventh graders at my ms, about a high schooler who ctb'd. Wasn't there for it, so I don't know how they portrayed the information, or how long ago it was, but even if they don't do something like that, m8, the rumors... The rumors will start, no matter what you do. Doing it in the summer months might help though. Good thinking mate.

When i was attending mainstteam highschool, somebody CTB during the lockdown and an emaol was sent out, the email didnt contain yhe name of the student who died. the parents wanted the information private abput their child. i dont recall much from the email but it felt so surreal. the email also said smth about rwaching out though.

idk if they ever got made fun of but i believe whoever was close with them didnt make fun of them or anything. a lot of people didnt know who died. when we were able to attend in person, nobody talked about it, well, from what i was doing.

A girl in my high school killed herself, an announcement was released, but I don't recall anyone making fun of her. People either just moved on or grieved because they knew her.

I always depicted art students to be more empathetic and not the ones to mock a stereotype (especially when death is involved)

But that is only a generalization and you might get a different vibe from the students at your school

You mentioned you heard of people making memes when someone died. Were these the students from that school? Had anyone shown you the images?

i know people are going to inevitably talk about someone ctb, but the ways they approach it like this just bothers me so much. its so depressing that in this world its a real issue that someone ctb would have to worry about it becoming a joke. the privacy too. it seems like privacy is rarely respected. you just become someones gossip or pity really. i would hate if a teacher did what yours did. it wasnt her place at all to share that information or put you in that vulnerable position :/

I didn't see the images because it happened like 3 years before i enrolled but the students who seen it told me about it. In my experience art student are really malicious but they try to hide it. Theres constant drama and I hear people gossiping abut the smallest things daily. The teachers are also insane and encourage it lol

CTBing is the key to freedom from all worries. For me being rich could be it as well but it depends.
I think about how to make it better so no one I know is disturbed but if it reduces the chances of success, I'll proceed with the original plan.
It won't matter what others will think or do.
The main point is to avoid revealing anything before CTBing.
Good luck on whatever you choose.

In my town, a 16-year-old boy took his own life the day after the school holidays, six days ago. Apart from a few posts some newspapers and a message of condolences on the school's newsite website, it did not receive much attention. The reason the newspapers reported it was that he took his own life right after school ended, so the police were investigating whether there had been any episodes of bullying otherwise I think the it would have been reported by only local newspapers.

Also, since he was a minor, the newspapers did not publish his first and last name, so it really depends on your country.

I feel the cases who gets the most attention is if you go missing and they need to search your body for a few days.
