how do people make online friends? +please let me be yours plsplspls

i managed to get a decent (for me, compared to my childhood) friend group in real life but i cant really say much to them without worrying about them thinking im weird and making things in real life uncomfortable. i always see things online about how people have like...mutuals on tumblr or just friends on reddit and im like ??? am i an npc or something? ive never had an interaction with a stranger on any platform that led to anything ever. i dont know does anyone have any stories on how they made friends online they wanted to share or something?
also if anyones particularly bored/desperate for a real person to talk to my messages should be open, late teens female US...i like most of the normal stuff: video games, music, anime, books, animals etc. just hmu we'll find something to talk about. is this desperate? aaaa sorry!

When I was a kid I would say I made online friends easily (not like to a genuine extent though) through games, mainly Roblox and Minecraft on my Xbox since I'd join or make looking fir group posts. I wasn't really on many platforms? I remember gaining some mutuals on this old drawing social media app because I'd comment on artists posts and make fanart. I think I made some on a discord server in the past but I honestly don't remember how I did it, but I think it involved roleplay. Oh yeah, also used Amino...(shudder)

I'm actually struggling with making online friends now myself since I don't really play a lot of multiplayer games (more of a story game person). Also struggle with trying to find people I could talk to in general, I guess I was also more sociable then. I tried doing discord servers but could never get into a conversation so idk, kinda gave up. I wish social media had (free) customizable profiles like this site because I enjoyed making profiles surrounding my interests and looking at others profiles too, makes me more inclined to talk.

Im probably gonna have to try with online gaming again if I can get an interesting one

When I was younger I made quite a few online friends in social games like Pony Town, and also in games like Roblox and Minecraft. It was quite fun, although I also ran into some weird people lol

Tbh I miss those days. I can't make friends in games anymore, and I don't feel comfortable with my Irl friends

I lowkey can't quite remember how I made some of the online friends that I have, but I do remember I joined a gaming app for that purpose. I also joined Discord servers, and there was the streaming space too. Um, if anyone in this thread is interested I do keep my DMs opened, and I wouldn't mind swapping Discords. I also tend to be on my devices near 24/7, and I lowkey loom over the DMs sometimes, so I would get back to you in a reasonably time. Although, I might forget to text in awhile when life is getting hectic, but if you shoot me a message I will get back asap. Hey, I literally dont have any close irl friends, so my only option is to talk to random people online, hoping that some of them actually become my platonic soulmates or something (very safe, I know :3). I have one really close online friend from Canada, and weve been talking every day for almost 2 years, met on an app called Slowly. If you wanna talk, my dms are open

I had so much fun playing Overwatch and Bloodborne multiplayer on the PS4. I used to put on my headphones and meet people from all over the world. All you need is a good gaming console or PC and a headphone.

And if those games aren't your style, then there's always others. I also used to play stuff like ratchet and Clank,Beyond good and evil. All superb games, lot of fun, unique.

Well first, you'll want to draw a pentagram on the floor and place five items that you deem as precious to you on each of the five points. Then, you'll want to place six candles on the pentagram. Five in the spaces between the stars points, and one larger candle in the middle.

Let your blood drip onto the middle candle, ensuring that it extinguishes its flame.

From there some spooky shit will probably happen, but it should end in you gaining some new online friends.

I should warn you that there are some potential "side effects" from making friends this way, but you'll probably be fine.
