Discussion How do people catch the bus in a hotel room using carbon monoxide??

Question. I'm sure we've all heard or read stories about people going into hotels and catching the bus using carbon monoxide. How do they avoid killing the people in the adjacent rooms if carbon monoxide can go through walls? Do they just not worry about it or what? I'm in an old motel and that is what worries me. I don't want to kill anybody else on the way out. Or worse, don't be successful and then be charged with manslaughter.

Bad idea. If you can afford an rv, then that's the best way to to ctb with charcoal

I know. I just remember reading some stories about people in China or other Asian countries that rent hotel rooms and check out using carbon monoxide. Just wondering how they avoided that.....

Man dies after suspected charcoal burning suicide in Tsuen Wan hotel

Police received a report from staff at a hotel on 3 Tsuen Wah Street in Tsuen Wan around 6 p.m. yesterday (19th), indicating that a male guest was suspected to have committed suicide in his room.
