I've seen a few guides on how to hide cut marks, but is there any way to remove them, I need to remove them for a dermatology appointment in about a week (I could try to convince my mom, but I have little hope in that working), or am I totally screwed.

if they're brand new and you have to hide them within a week, theres going to be no real way to "remove" them unfortunately

the most realistic way would just to cover them with makeup, but that's just hiding them

i don't think tehy can be removed, only hidden since it's your skin itself essentially. you have my sympathy over stressing about this, i've had times like that as well, i hope it goes as best it can

im not sure if theres a way to completely remove it because its already engraved in your skin, the best you can do is hide it with clothing, etc, i wish you the best hugs

Well a weeks kinda though but if you had more time , have you tried bio oil?? I have it and it's supposed to fade scars and slowly erase them, but I never ever used it cause I don't rly feel like it. But I would think it would take a bit for it to significantly erase to the point where is pretty much invisible .If you are of an older age I think you can also ask the dermatologist to not talk about the scars to your mom as for confidentiality's sake and say that you are no longer a danger to yourself . That's works with lots of doctors but not all.

That matters on how old the scars are, if theyre over 4 days old and already healing a bit, you could try scratching them and then maybe using some paint to hide the remainings

You don't. I still have scars on my forearm and upper thighs from like 11 years ago. Maybe look into laser scar removal or whatever its called. But depending on how bad they are, you're kind of fucked

laser removal doesn't really do much with old scars, consider making a tattoo

You won't be able to remove scars. The best you can do in this short amount of time is cover them with makeup
