how do i prevent scars from fading or reverse fading that has started?

i self harm and my scars are very important to me, they're like 1/3rd of the reason i do it and whenever i dont cut deep enough to leave a nice scar or when one comes out bad it really distresses me i really dont want them gone. how do i prevent them from going away? the thought of them fading (and seeing some that are starting to fade) is terrifying and i cant take it. i couldnt really find good advice anywhere so i thought id ask here

Pick the scab if there fresh, but idk. I would google what naturally helps with scarring and just too the opposite of that.

I feel you though. My thighs are so thick with scar tissue, it's nearly impossible too get anything as good as I use to. And although in the moment a deep cut really grosses me out, the scar they leave I like. More than the little kitty scratches at least. I haven't been able to make anything more than pathetic little rips that at least let bloood flow.
