googling methods! glad i found this place, r/suicidewatch just isn't cutting it anymore

I got a random message reddit from someone random. They asked me how old I was then sent me the SN method and info on the wiki. I was reading everything there was so fascinated by everything. My original plan was thwarted by my brother. He found out and I didn't wanna make him cry. After reading about some high profile ctbs this site popped up. And their were people trying to get it shut down. I honestly never heard of a site like this but once I found it something stirred within me. I felt so seen and so happy. Finally people like me that understood me. I cried a lot reading the goodbye threads and everyone's story, but then I was so thankful that they had this site so it could be a final place to find the support they needed. It was bittersweet. Everytime I see a crossed name it strikes my heart because I'm sad that they felt the same as me. I always try to read their stories and see what kind of person they were. And then I hope they are at peace now.

But the thing that made me want to join were the goodbye threads. I felt so much love coming from people. It was the most beautiful sweetest thing I've ever witnessed. Heartbreaking but joyous because they get to rest now. And I'm so genuinely happy about that for them. I hope. To find peace as well. I want to be loved as much as I saw everyone love in those goodbye threads. And if I end up catching my ride and saying goodbye, I hope I have the same amount of love and farewells that so many others before me had.

Sorry, I'm an emotional mess haha. I'm always crying haha. Sorry for the long post.

I used to go on r/sanctionedsuicide before it got shut down. Then months later I googled the sub name and people pointed out there was a site now.

I googled "how to properly hang yourself" and i scrolled down through the results and i found a link from this site, a thread that said "how to hang yourself" and I clicked at it. I joined two months later.

I googled the quickess and painless way to kill yourself and I kept ending up on a pro life website so I saw SS mentioned by a user so I thought I would see what it was I thought another pro life site, I guess I was wrong and didn't hang around as I wanted to know what is this SN they talk off and signed up, lol.

I used the hanging thread and info on jumping from seaching for it before my attempts. It was only after they failed and I was put in a more desperate situation in terms of resources that I joined the site.

I browsed the reddit version for years before they banned it, found out that a site had been created to replace it, and joined here after lurking for a while. A forum really is the best thing that could happen to this community, in my opinion, rather than the way any of the other social media sites are set up.

I had been looking for somewhere to belong with my thoughts and feelings since I always felt lost and lonely in that way. But I didn't really have any luck in finding that place. I'm not too experienced with forums (haven't really been on many).

But one day googling suicide stuff I found an article about a woman that took her life and the article pretty much blamed a site for "encouraging" her to do it. And in the screenshots posted I found that it was SS. So I lurked here for a few days and was quite surprised (in a good way) that so many people shared the same thoughts and feelings that I did. So I made my account.
