How common is methylene blue in hospitals?

In the case that someone is discovered or if they "aborted" an attempt with SN, how common is methylene blue in ambulances or hospitals? I'm in a city of 20,000 or so in Canada, one major hospital. Wondering how likely it is that someone could be saved if they make it to the ER while still alive. Suicides aren't very common in my area, and there haven't been any SN deaths reported, according to the hospital records (per inside source)

I don't have any proof or anything, but I think it's pretty common, especially in Western societies.

I have the same question. Although Im from Central Asia, and I think that suicide by SN is pretty, pretty rare in here. It's just my assumptions, I havent searched up any reported cases.

I think most hospitals probably do have it in the hospital. It doesn't really mather whether a lot of people commit suicide with it in that specific area as it's used for treating Methemoglobinemia which is not only caused by the ingestion of sodium nitrite.

For most SN consumers, it doesn't really mather if the hospital has methylene blue as by the time of arrival it's most likely already too late. I think if the ambulance doesn't have it, you will often times already be too late if you've ingested 25g.

In most cases people die within 40minutes to an hour after ingestion. I believe it takes some time for the methylene blue to work as well even though it's rather quick. I wonder when it would be too late.

I work at a smaller hospital and we keep about 10-15 doses on hand at all times.

I live in Canada, and when I was a child my father used to treat his fish with methylene blue. So if a random guy with a fish hobby can get it, I'm assuming hospitals have it on hand.

Nearly every hospital in a developed nation is going to have it in stock, it's used for treating more than just SN poisonings.
