then maybe it doesnt work... i mean being optimistic only makes ur life more bearable and encourages u to go out there and get more experience in hope u find what u r looking for , other than that it wont just make someone appear from thin air...
sadly it's just luck based, the whole everyone has someone waiting for the them is bullshit , life isnt fair

these ideas fried my brain and still massively shape how i view the world around me today. 7 years deep into loa sounds like hell but the only advice i can give is the sooner you leave this shit behind the better

the people who push these beliefs use the fact that no matter what you can't technically disprove their claims. the people who say they are successful are either lucky, believe in loa and are trying to manifest their lies into reality by pretending they already have them, or are trying to sell you something.

From the quick Google search I did on "conscious manifesting", the core beliefs seem reasonable, but the recommended methods seem a bit much. If you wanna try something that's backed by scientific evidence, look into the science of luck. There's a famous 10-year study on it, along with many other studies, old and new.

same but with tarot. i watched it for some years and it made me so delusional. i stopped depending on it after something happened that majorly disproved everything lol.

This will be a long story. I'm not so sure I believe in manifesting. However, one night several years ago I tried to win a 50/50 draw held by a pro sporting event, without knowing what manifesting was, and I freaking won. Right after that game I Googled what manifesting was, like imagining you won, etc the whole process and I thought holy shit, that's what I did. I won what would be a lower end yearly salary tax-free. I probably had a 1 in 10,000 chance or so to win. I understand some think everything is energy and you can attract things, but I dunno I feel like it was just luck.

Right before that and after that I got into the 2 schools I wanted to for 2 different study abroad semesters which was no easy task. I had to bust my ass to get the minimum grades I needed to study abroad (B- I think) after being terribly ill and barely passing my classes the first few semesters. I got accepted with the minimum grades. Not only that, but I also got like probably 20K or more in awards and scholarships for those semesters abroad, so I went all over Europe and New Zealand, and had my courses covered (another 8-10K). I also met and got a photo with my favourite pro athlete in Europe. Again here I did the whole imagining I won and I ended up getting what I wanted.

Ever since then and before that life's been mostly bad, so that's why I don't think I believe in manifesting. At the same time, I understand you can't change your genetics so it's like how can my life improve if I'm screwed genetically and would need a new body for things to drastically improve. I also was just not lucky with money later on.

I'm a believer. To attract love, we cannot attract the presence of something when we are focused on it's absence. I repeat, when we're focused on the absence of something, it cannot come (or if it does, it will not be there for long, and you'll regret that it ever came!). So, the problem is, that's not easy to do, to keep our focus off of the absence of what we want most. You have to remain detached. Attached to nothing, connected to everything. Just try to be as happy as you possibly can without love, that is the single best way to attract it. You also want to be as happy as possible because you want to share your happiness with someone, not your misery. The happier you are, the more you'll have to offer to both yourself and someone else 💕.

If LOA worked, I would be a rich woman. And yet, the bank balance never changes. I have done so much affirmation and shadow work. But it's never enough. Why? Because the sooner one realizes how gamified this life is, the better. No crystal or tarot card reading will magically change your life. There are no panaceas to eradicate all of life's problems and live happily ever after. If there were, more people would be using them and telling others.

Instead, we are all just playing the hands we were dealt. Some people are given all jokers and aces. Others can barely pull a face card. Life is not fair, and for billions, what we would call a life of poverty in richer countries is that of luxury to them.

Kind of. I was so obsessed with getting into my first choice of university- a couple of times and it did become a reality. The first time- pretty surprisingly- because I wasn't really good enough for the course. Even more surprisingly, I got a First when my stuff really wasn't as good as others. I did work extremely hard though. It was obsession level though.

There were times with a limerent crush that I would will so hard to see or hear from them- and I did. I suppose I felt like I had somehow mannifested that at the time.

I'm not sure I entirely believe in it though. How can really wanting something cause it to happen ultimately? I think it's more that- on top of willing it, we are likely taking action to get that particular thing.

On top of willing love to happen- are you taking steps to meet lots of people? Not that I necessarily agree with it but, we are swayed by looks unfortunately. If you're comfortable doing that- are you presenting yourself in the best way possible? When I was interested in guys, I was doing more to try and improve my appearance.

Again, I kind of hate it that we are so shallow as a species that we go for all that but, I think it works in either direction. We probably notice guys more who make more effort. (Not saying that you're not.)

Mannifesting isn't enough though I think. We have to also take actions that put us in with the best chance of getting what we want. Otherwise, it's like wishing we would win the lottery- without actually buying a ticket.

I believed in it for so many years because of course a few coincidences happened to me.

I even got told by my ex cult leader that maybe manifesting wasn't really okay because according to him it was stealing other people's karma :pfff::pfff:.

Now I'm convinced of its non-existence. If it were real, I wouldn't be here.
