  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I'm thinking about will it be kinder if I just disappear into some woods and ctb there just so my corpse won't be discovered immediately, or is it better to ctb at my apartment?
It surely will troubles my SO if i did it in my apartment because he'll have to inform my family and friends about my passing, not to mention he'll have nightmares from discovering my corpse..
I also have thought about doing it in some 3-star rated hotel, but i'm afraid of traumatizing their employee and ruining their business.
What are your thoughts about the location to ctb?

I personally think that it would be easier on those left behind if they knew what happened, rather than having to deal with the fact that the person has gone missing. I just think that only you can decide on the best location, everybody has to die somewhere, someday and the only thing that I would really see as being important is making sure that I don't ctb somewhere where there is the risk of being found too early, causing the attempt to fail.

I don't see any benefits for them to know what happened. Can you elaborate why do you think it is better for them to know? Isn't it going to make them sad and do copy-cat suicide?

I personally think that it's more likely to give them closure if they knew what happened rather than spending the rest of their lives wondering. And I guess that if someone else decides to ctb then that is their decision.

I've thought about this too, as the only time I get some serious, though temporary relief, is in the outdoors.

This probably sounds really stupid, but I worry that if I CTB in the woods, that someone younger would be adventuring out in the same area and would stumble across the aftermath.

Now that I'm aware of this possibility, maybe ctb in the woods is a bad idea afterall 😅 some random child that might stumble upon my body while searching for bugs will be traumatized for life if i proceed to ctb there lol

I've considered it too. But I kind of want my family to have the ending. I don't want them to sit and wonder if I really died or where I was. Plus, there's nowhere to run off to and do it.
