Hi,
Just as the title says, are there any harmless self harm methods which don't do any damage or leave any scars?
I mean in a form of physical pain. Thank you!

I used to sprint stairs for exercise and got in pretty good shape doing it. My therapist at the time said he thought it was a form of self-harm because I was pushing it so hard. After that, I tried to push even harder to give myself a heart attack so I could die "legitimately". So far not successful but I keep trying!

Now that I think about it, I think part of the reason I am successful in athletic activities and in the gym is probably due to the fact that I like the feeling of pushing through pain. (I know the difference between discomfort pain and potential injury) So yeah the therapist was an asshole but maybe there was something to the physical fitness "self-harm".

That's a long story. Set me back 5 years and I had worsening SI every single day until he kicked me out claiming that if I killed myself, he'd be investigated and lose his career so he couldn't see me. Amongst other things, he'd tell me that if I wasn't going to talk during the session, he'd go back to his desk and work until I was ready to talk. I told him several times that was not helpful and he continued doing it.

Hair pulling (trichotillomania) is viable, but I personally don't recommend it

Some people i knew half my life ago would snap rubber bands against their arms or legs. maybe it was for pain, maybe they were kinky, i dunno, but it hurts to me.
