In season 2 of The Pitt, a character is revealed to have old self-harm scars. The scene changes pretty quickly so people might miss it.
I'm used to media depicting self-harm and people that do it in a negative light. But in this episode, the depiction of self-harm was casual- it wasn't a negative or a positive framing. And this scene also sets up a later scene where the character, who's been stressed out all day, nabs a scalpel after staring at it for awhile. I felt like it was refreshingly realistic. Anyone else felt the same way? Thoughts?
