Afaik best rope is about 1/2" dock line (about thumb thick).
Now, idk exactly for drop but should be similar. Have you calculated your drop length?

Are you aware of the risks of surviving and being paralyzed by hanging?
Not to be grim, just to say most people choose other methods for good reasons, and I want to make sure you have every chance to be safe.

I advise again long drop because there is no evidence that breaking your neck causes instant loss of consciousness or death. I'd go with regular suspension. The rope I suggest using (for suspension hanging) is 12mm braided polyester rope.
