Story had the scariest experience today (almost OD)

i was done with studying some hours ago and i took a xan and a half and mixed it w hydros (i know the dangers involving mixing depressants but yk not like i been too concerned for my life)

i dont know if i was tripping but after the effects of both settled in fully i felt my breathing slowing a lot and i felt like i was going to pass out, but it felt different than just passing out, my vision was going blank in a different way, and i had to fight to keep myself breathing, idk how much time it actually was since i hadnt looked at the clock but it felt long as fuck, if i had to guess it was probably 2-5 minutes tho, that shit freaked the fuck out of me, even tho i could still enjoy the rest i was still thinking about it a lot, idk if it actually could have be my last moment here, that was so scary

At the moment when you thought now I'll lose consciousness was there some kind of electrifying shock through your body because I once tested my hanging set up and I very near to loose consciousness and till today I don't know exactly what this feeling was, maybe a emergency signal that I have to handle or my body will switch off otherwise.

shit i honestly cant remember at all like the specificity of it cuz of the xans as well, but i just believe it felt different, scary different

You were definitely under the influence of depressants. Everything will slow down and you will lose coordination. However, you would be unconscious from a dose that affected your breathing reflex. You could never be awake and not have the ability to breathe from an OD. Take it from a seasoned opiate addict. Even unconscious, unless it was very strong opioids or very high doses, you would continue to breathe.
