Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

How have feelings of guilt impacted your guys' suicidal thoughts? I get suicidal thoughts whenever I'm anxious, under stress etc. despite my medication and despite being so anxious AND stressed out due to (unrelated to suicide) guilt my thoughts were... intermittent? Like a high lumen lightbulb flickering in a dark room, if that makes any sense. Asking since it's an entirely new feeling regardless of the fact I've lived with them for a decade.

Guilt and shame can be useful if they motivate us to make corrections or restore relationships with an apology or asking forgiveness. Many in AA follow this step of making amends. However, once everything constructive have been extracted from guilt and shame, they should be discarded because they can be held onto and cause damage of their own.

We are all born helpless, ignorant, and selfish. As a result many of us find ourselves on a trajectory in life where we hurt others. It may take years for us to learn how to navigate life such that we cause less harm.

My feelings of guilt have greatly exacerbated my suicidal thoughts over the years. It's a mental trap I'm stuck in. I can't forgive myself for my past and the people I've hurt. Definitely makes me want to die sooner knowing no matter how much I try, no matter how much I "work on myself", there are some people who's trust and respect I will never, ever get back.

Feeling guilty for treating my then best friend very bad caused my most intense suicidal ideation and I believe it was the only time in my life I actually came close to attempting, despite being suicidal for years before that.
