Hey everyone,
I've been a lurker for around a week now so this is my first and (hopefully) last post. It's time for me to leave this fucked up world.
I'm gonna overdose on alcohol tonight. I know it's not a very reliable method but it's all I've got (and I'm too stupid for partial suspension apparently). I don't drink alcohol very often so my tolerance is probably relatively low and I've got enough alcohol for a BAC of 0.6-0.7%.

Anyway, I love you all and I hope you all find peace.

Goodbye <3

Please be careful.

Your body has a built-in method (puking) to deal with alcohol intoxication. You also risk damaging your liver and kidneys.

I do hope that you find the peace that you're seeking.

I have nearly died from alcohol poisoning in the past, but it is very difficult. The next day I seriously thought I was gonna have a stroke. I really hope something horrible doesn't happen to you like a stroke or a seizure that leaves you with permanent problems. It does sound like a fun way to go though if you just pass out and go to sleep forever. I would compare to OD'in on opiates. You just get high, fall asleep, and never return. I hope you find peace. You're so young, but probably wise at the same time too because you've figured out what garbage life really is. Good luck.

Best of luck! I'm envious of you because my body built up way too much tolerance for alcohol to overdose on it.

It's extremely unlikely that you're going to be successful. Far more likely than death is instead you waking up with the most horrific hangover you've ever experienced followed by a visit to the hospital where you'll have your stomach pumped. You will also cause permanent damage to your liver, and in the absolute worst case scenario you may be involuntarily admitted to a psychiatric ward (you do not want to end up in a psychiatric ward).

I strongly suggest that you reconsider. I wish you luck either way.

That's the actual reality behind what he is attempting. Even if he gets lucky and chokes to death on his own vomit before all that then that is still a horrible way to go.

Will that work ?
As caffeine said, you certainly don't want to be sectioned as a result.

Speaky Wednesday then. Tomorrow drink lots of water and orange juice and pop 1000mg of paracetomol at 6pm.

As much as I wish you luck and peace, I do agree with most of the people here that od'ing in alcohol might not work. Most likely you'll damage you organs. Worst case scenario you get sectioned.

Did that once drank 750ml of 80 proof rum, the funny thing about it is I was not trying to suicide, when drunk it just seemed perfectly rational to drink the whole thing to see if it would kill.

Very low percentage indeed, I've been there. Highly discourage it like most in here. Best of luck though.

As far as getting sectioned goes, it's really not the worst thing. I've been 6x in 4 separate psychiatric wards, and one makes it through. Sometimes they are cute there, like they've procured me great gluten free brownies and cookies, and made me genuinely good gluten free breakfasts. Boredom is the worst part of the ordeal, that's all. I have found the staff to be consistently kind - across two states and four cities.

I wish you the best!

Hey, I'm still here, I didn't go through with drinking the alcohol. But today I wanted to do a test run with partial suspension and I wanted to loosen the noose right before I lose consciousness but everything happened so quickly. I didn't even realize I was going unconscious, it was like falling asleep. While I was unconscious, my body apparently ripped out the rail of my wardrobe and I regained consciousness. My vision was black, I had loud noises in my ears, I was in a panic and instinctively loosened the noose. Then my vision and hearing became normal and I noticed I had bitten my tongue really hard while I was unconscious and it was bleeding.
Going unconscious was peaceful but regaining consciousness was probably the scariest experience in my entire life. So yeah, I'm still alive, but I've never been this close to dying.
I don't know if I'm ever gonna try partial again because the experience was terrifying, but right now I can't anyway because my wardrobe obviously doesn't have a rail anymore.

Partial was surprisingly quick for me as well. It was quite pleasant but as with you, the tie I used broke.

Im really sorry but this sentence made me giggle for some reason.. I just had a very cartoony vision of you sitting there in the closet with that rail..

Hopefully you will find what you are looking for soon though..

Where on your neck did you place it? Read some information that said the base of the neck is the best area as it doesn't irritate the throat.

I placed the noose close to the bottom of my jaw so when I lowered myself the pressure was on the sides of my throat. It shouldn't feel like the air is completely cut off so you can still breath while becoming light headed. I used a medium nylon rope that holds 200 lbs and I wrapped a T-shirt around it so it didn't hurt the skin.

You can test without hanging by putting it around your neck and pulling upward. You'll get a feel of where the pressure causes lightheadedness.
