I had an amazing day today but I still feel the invasive dred of depression. I'm going try partial tonight. If that doesn't work I'll try full suspension. I'll keep updated. I'll post more as the night goes on

are you one of those people that slows down to look at a car crash ??
It makes sense to ask if you also want to die. Almost everything online is so blurry it really doesn't give much of an indication of how it will be. We're just dreaming.

Can't help but feel bad for the youngsters... I'm not here to try and talk people out of decisions they've already made but I know so many people who were an inch away from ctb in highschool that are now the happiest people I know, myself included before the incident that ruined my life.

Why don't you express more, what you feel, and happens to you? Have you ever talked to a therapist?

That is so true.
Adolescence is such a difficult time to go through, the ctb numbers are very high for that period of life.
But, generally speaking, it does get better, and everybody is glad they didn't, myself included.

That is absolutely great news @Mynameisnotimportant ,
We are always happy if a person can find a way around their pain without having to ctb.
You are young. I sincerely hope all your dreams come true!

I don't want to sound bitter but these are the people who then advocate for traumatizing people with involuntary commitment just because voluntary treatment worked for them.

Not necessarily! If I change my mind and choose not to ctb, I certainly wouldn't advocate for traumatizing people with involuntary commitment because I'm a pro-choicer who genuinely believes people have the right to die on their own terms. Anyway, I'm glad she found a solution to her problem.

I am so glad that you've found something to help - I think depression *can* be relieved by increasing serotonin or dopamine in the brain for some people and to have given you a second chance at life is fabulous :-)

Make sure you look after yourself, too, though and keep up with little things you enjoy and keep a close eye on your mood, if you find yourself getting even a little bit down again make sure you get your medication adjusted. So pleased for you xx

I am glad you are feeling much better - but Cymbalta takes a few weeks to kick in ... they must have given you some short term sedative for you to "feel" so much better - ... Again, don't feel discourage if it takes longer to fully kick in, just keep communicating with those that are helping you there. Wishing you the very best -glad you found the solution that worked for you . (hugs)
