Not read all the replies, I don't think there is a need to, I think all the replies will be universal in agreeing that to see you go, is a sad day,
We have only spoken a few times, I tend to keep quiet, you won't know me, but I know your posts,
I truly hope you find the comfort you are seeking, and I hope your next journey is one that brings you peace

I know either way, you're gone now and will never see this... I can't believe I missed the chance to say a proper goodbye. Maybe I haven't been paying enough attention, but I did not expect to see you leave now.

I've said before, I do not ever post in goodbye threads. This is the first time I've felt the need to. It's not that I don't care, but maybe I care too much. It's a difficult thing for me to deal with, and so I avoid it as a rule. Sometimes I respond privately, but I avoid the threads. I'm not sure why I'm writing to you now, but there's so much I wish I could say right now, and I can't find the right way to get it out.

I'm just thinking about the other day, when we were talking about my aunt. I really appreciated your thoughts. You saw through her bullshit even though you didn't know her and identified the whole situation perfectly. I really appreciated that, and I was also impressed by your ability to see reality. It made me feel like I was not just overreacting and that I had a right to be upset.

To be completely honest, in the beginning you were one of my least favorite posters. I always read what you wrote, but all I could see was what I disagreed with. You were so guarded and detached, and it often seemed like you might feel superior to the rest of us. I couldn't connect with you, and it really irritated me. But the more we interacted, the more my opinion of you changed. I began to see that you were actually very kind and compassionate, and you were extremely insightful. You were also honest and didn't sugar-coat things, which I appreciate. I grew to respect you, even if we disagreed sometimes. You also had a way of saying what I was thinking but wasn't brave enough to say myself. I grew to like you and care about what you were going through, even if I didn't always say it.

I've just never met anyone with boundaries as firmly established as you, and it was easy to misinterpret. I'm sorry for that. You never knew it, but I wish I could say I'm sorry.

I'm genuinely going to miss your posts. You brought a lot of common sense and insight to the forum. I hope you realized just how valuable that was. It will be much different without you. I hope you knew you mattered.

This is a sad day. @GoodPersonEffed was a hidden talent , hidden to the world . Sad that now she will forever remain undiscovered. I feel stupid why didn't i tell her this when i had the chance? Hindsight is always 20/20 and we only realize what we had only after its gone. It wouldn't have made a difference anyway my words wouldn't have changed anything . Her writing and thinking ability was world class. imo she had a gift for words and analysis i've never seen. She didn't realize the gift for words she had and what she could have changed especially for our cause as in maybe writing a book to explain to others that all we want is a chance to escape torture we are not a death cult or monsters we are just people who are suffering and in my case i see torture in my future and i need to escape. we don't deserve to have our chance to have a painless escape from this torture taken away as many want to do(as those that want to ban this website do). All that remains now is this thread and this website to remember such a talent existed.

i feel as when Princess Diana died. I'm still sad over that , both. Except many in the world know of Lady Diana but few knew of her except those of us here on this website.

We'll, you'll never know, but she could be reading this right now. Nobody knows for certain if she's 'gone.'

I think with her pragmatic approach and intelligent and logical thought processes that if she decided she was going she will have gone.

I know SI can kick in for anyone, or they might decide they want to live after all, but people like her and Letzte don't do things on a whim, they have it all planned out, thought out, and calculated out and know exactly what they're going to do and why they're doing it before they do it.

One of the best goodbye threads I have seen so far.

There's no doubt these are words from a very well thought and determined mind. So much to learn just from this final message although no details has been revealed about the reasons or method. RIP

GPE I always respected you and valued your very educated opinions. Thank you for always being kind to me and a mentor of sorts. You and Rosey were the first friends I made here. Your writing is so special and can offer educated information on many subjects to so many. I have made a post under :User Discussion Megathread for GPE. I would like to compile some of her very well written, educated, helpful postings and put it all in 1 place for her. If you would like to know more please check out the User Discussion Megathread, my post about GPE and follow the instructions I've asked to make it more simple. I just feel GPE's writing has so much to offer so many that it should NOT be burried and someday lost. <3 to you GPE it's hit me hard your passing I cant find the post under user discussion megathread- it seems deleted? Just LIKE HUGE LOVE if you agree we can make a page for GPE writing if you disagree angry face this thank you.

Another sorry I was late and getting the chills writing this... You contributed to much self reflection which will carry on. Honestly I envied your evolved perspective, one of the highest compliments I can give. Congratulations on your impressive journey. Thank you for the breadcrumbs of wisdom. I wish I could express myself as you did to properly honor your spirit, but that hard earned trait is part of what made you so special. With love R.I.P.

Yes her contributions deserve their own thread! No matter what stage we're in theres gold to be found in her words for everyone.

I'm late to this thread since I haven't been active for the last two days.

I've seen many helpful and wise comments by @GoodPersonEffed.
She had such a way with words, even her last paragraphs on this site were thoughtful and touching.

From the responses on this thread it seems like she contributed quite a lot to SS and impacted a lot of users with her helpful advice.

Since I haven't gotten to known her
I can't really contribute much more.

Still I hope her journey into another state of being was smooth and pain-free.
I hope she was able to make peace with everything she left behind in this life and has now found her place back in the eternity of the universe.

This is a good idea. Her writing was excellent and often highly insightful. I wish I'd said that or more before she went. But she knew her talent and insight I think

I really admired her knowledge of stoicism. She mentioned in a previous thread that Marcus Aurelius was her hero. I definitely want to read Meditations now.
Suffice it to say, my reasoning falls under one or more of the Stoic five rational reasons for exiting the party of life gone bad.
Does anyone know what she meant by this? What are the five rational reasons?

I really, really don't wanna be "that person", but I'm not too comfortable with the idea of a thread like that. It rubs me the wrong way, even if I like the person.

There is already a thread kind of like that, though. My opinion isn't too important, and GPE didn't seem upset about it.

It's been sitting in my audible library for a few months. Time to listen
