I feel like packing my bags and going off to a war zone. Ukraine for example. I am sure there is no guarantee of death or the agony part of it. But if I can save someone else who wants to live, I will gladly exchange places.

It sounds quite dangerous, but if you are sure about this, prepare yourself as best you can.
Keep in mind that going to a war zone can also be traumatic and there is no guarantee that this will end your life, rather it is possible that you will be tortured.

Wish you all the best

I don't think I'd ever want to go to a war zone. It's just asking for suffering.

I've thought the same. I would run under gunfire just to save someone who actually wants to live.
The only thing that worries me is the pain of getting my body destroyed but with some luck I could be finished with a headshot.

it is an honorable death

However, being in a war zone ruins mental health. I worry that you may be feeling worse than you are at the moment.

I hope you find peace without going there.

I ..... Completely understand and agree, Right there with you. Thought and, dreamed of this numerous times. Would I back out at the last second? Possibly... Would I be terrified, scared,... If I did indeed make it into said warzone ? Very possible, Maybe .. But that would mean I have the proper funds$$$$ to make it all happen and I don't.

Sorry I'm rambling..... I wish you Nothing but the Best... Thoughts and prayers to you always. ♥

I also thought about this.
If I was 10-15 years younger, I would definitely go... but to fight on the Russian side.
My country is probably the only in the world where we adore Russia from birth to death (80% of population).
It also helps that we were bombed by NATO 24 years ago.

The city where I live is packed with young Russians who fled from the war... when I go out, I hear more Russian than my local language.
I would go die for their country, while they, Americanized Millennials, fled like cowards.

Long Live Mother Russia!

I thought of this too regarding Ukraine when the war started, was very tempting.

I told my dad i wana go to Ukraine to volunteer, way back when the war started.

He said im so useless id end up dying fast (not a bad thing) but id just be a waste of time and resources for the ukraine army(bad thing obviously).

also thought of becoming a volunteer police officer and take dangerous jobs,

or cussing at the dangerous gangsters in my area and saying their moms a hoe.

You should only do this if you are an adrenaline junkie and you love to kill people like most professional military. Do you like movies about bloody Viking wars? Do you want your face to be covered in human blood? Yes? No? But if you want to die then better choose something painless, something that is guaranteed to kill you. In a war, you will most likely become disabled and the pain of physical injuries will be added to your psychological suffering from your depression. Are you willing to risk yourself for someone who won't care about you later? They won't even ask you - how you're doing, when you're will be handicapped shit in your bed)))

I love this fantasy. I am not doing all that much good here except treading water. For my death to save someone who wants to live would be worth the sacrifice of pain. So it begs the question, why am I not out there? Probably a similar reason for some of my other choices.

A legit concern is losing access to meds I am dependent on, going through withdrawal, being useless & miserable with no respite available. In which case I'd probably say fk it. Take the most dangerous position to where I might not help others and too high probability of immense suffering unless a sniper took me out. Losing limbs to the point where I couldn't CTB if I wanted to back home would be worst case scenario and realistic possibility. If I lost limbs on a battlefield & happened to be conscious with a weapon I'd certainly ctb right then. I imagine shock would overload everything else though.

Lolol you dont know that war is a huge bloody business? People are so stupid that they are really ready to go to war for stupid national ideas)) in fact, we are talking about the commercial interests of arms companies, embezzlement from the state budget, corruption scandals or dark secrets that the United Nations Organisation will hide. Do you know about the story of Saddam Hussein and scandal around "oil for food program"? Why wars start only where oil and gas are extracted or transported?))

One of my favorite songs - the main thing is to always have the last amunition for yourself))

I looked into this actually but they seemed to want military trained people. Suppose it makes sense. Expect I'd end up being more of a liability for them. I don't particularly want to kill people either. Not foot soldiers anyhow.
