The concept of being trapped in limbo has been a fictional trope for awhile, and it's always disturbed me.
Sometimes Hollywood can get idealistic with it, and the characters who are trapped in limbo are excited to get a "second chance" and fulfill some purpose that they weren't able to fulfill while they were alive.
But what if you weren't able to figure out that purpose, and you were left wandering for thousands of years on the very planet you so desperately wanted to escape from?
I know there's no actually science to suggest that a limbo between worlds even exists, but just the thought of it makes me reconsider CTB'ing sometimes. Of all the "what if?" scenarios surrounding death, this is the one I fear the most.
