getting singled out at work

i do more than anyone. i leave everyone alone. i make things easier for other people. yet i still get singled out to be the one to make fun of, talk about, get in trouble… everyone there is friends outside of work and i don't like making friends at work so i guess im just the one to make fun of. ive been depressed every single day since i was 11. i can't wait for my peace :(

I'm sorry for your situation, being singled out is the worst feeling and it's relatable. I think it can be just very bad luck sometimes! It sounds like it's because they don't respect that you're a private individual at work.

Having friends at work is acceptable. Dating people at work is trickier. You need allies; make friends!

I hear you, I always feel singled out at work too. Truth is, everyone already has their lifelong friends, partners, generally happy life and there's no space for people that are different.

You don't need to make friends at work, you definitely can just view work as work and be private with your life. You shouldn't be made fun of for any of that, it sounds like those people are jerks. If you can, change jobs. I work remotely and it is a blessing not having to pretend to be happy all the time and having to socialise. Even though I'm lonely, I wouldn't go back to having an office job.

it's so easy tho :( it's literally just simple stuff at a gas station and it pays $19 an hour. i love the job and it's the only thing that's getting me out of bed
