Since I'm planning to ctb soon, I've recently sent a sample of liquid N to energy control for analisys to make sure my batch is still potent enough to ensure a reliable death.

After I was done preparing the sample, there was a tiny amount of liquid left in the syringe, just enough to coat the tongue and get a taste of what I'm in for. Let me preface this by saying that I'm not particularly squeamish and I don't mind bitter tasting spirits or fruits, but this stuff is the most foul, bitter-tasting thing I've ever tasted. It's like the devil himself shat straight into my mouth. It's truly vile. To think that I'm supposed to chug down almost 200mL of this stuff in a quick and reliable manner is making me a little bit anxious.

My question is: are there any concoctions I can prepare at home to get accustomed to the taste? Perhaps a herbal infusion of some kind? I remember reading about something like that on here, but I can't remember what it was (a plant extract or some kind of tea perhaps, idk).

Would appreciate any suggestions - the more bitter the better.

I've heard that coating your mouth in an Orajel product or something similar can alleviate the foul taste though I think the taste of N is worse than that of SN.

How does Dignitas mitigate the taste? Don't they have the person immediately eat a piece of dark chocolate? That doesn't seem potent enough. Look into that.

It seems you might have to chug the stuff then immediately down something else to help counteract the taste. At least I think that'll be what I have to do with SN.

Espom salts mixed with water is the "dryest" most bitter thing I've ever tasted. Bitter to the nth-most degree and you can pick it up for a few bucks anywhere.

Most people use it to soak in for aches and pains but it can also be used as a potent laxative so I wouldn't drink too much unless I wanted to experience a blowout of epic proportions lol.

A half teaspoon diluted in water will clean you alllll the way out.

You can swhish it around in your mouth, then spit out. That will still give you the experience without the results.

If it were me, I'd probably use some type of psychological exercise to coax myself into drinking N. I'd imagine what my mental or physical pain would taste like and how nothing could be worse than that experience.

I'd imagine having to drink the sum of all my tears, knowing that those few ounces of N is nothing compared to the volumes of 'bitterness' that has fallen from my eyes over the years.

But those kinds of things work for me (symbolism, metaphors, etc.). It might not work for everyone.

They mix it with a syrup, but the amount to drink is also far less, only about 30-50mL of sodium N dissolved in a solution. The stuff I have is from A and is meant for intravenous injections. You can somewhat mitigate the aftertaste with a neutral spirit like vodka, which is probably what I'll end up doing.

I'll definately try swirling some diluted epsom salt in my mouth.

I think I'll manage when the time comes, I just have to habituate myself to the taste. Really appreciate the insight.

This is the final barrier to the freedom that you seek for yourself. If CTB is what you truly want I think you'll find that the taste isn't a strong enough deterrent.

Coat tongue with peanut butter & chase it with a somewhat sweet alcoholic beverage

What are the ingredients besides nembutal in the 200ml solution? some kind of alcohol? I know there are 6.3 nembutal grams in the 100 ml bottle what is the rest?

Appreciate everyone's suggestions. I still think habituation would be the best approach here, It's a well understood and proven concept. I just need to get my hands on some extremely bitter substances. I will certainly try experimenting with the miracle berries as well.

NEMBUTAL Sodium Solution (pentobarbital sodium injection, USP)

Each mL contains:

Pentobarbital Sodium, derivative of barbituric acid - 50 mg

Propylene glycol - 40% v/v

Alcohol - 10%

Water for Injection - qs

(pH adjusted to approximately 9.5 with hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide.)

The person might not have shaken the bottle and drew from the bottom where the N could have concetrated. to get an accurate test imo one must shake the bottle welll and then use the syringe .

I must admit that was a funny description of the taste ...
Honestly I think of it like this - Taste won't be what stands between me and what I want. It can taste however it want I dont care.
Although, I'm pretty anxious about my body not wanting to keep it down though but thats another story.

The taste is really bad, especially if you have reflux issues. Then in this case Metoclopramide is important. It's suggested to take a sip of alcohol before downing the pentobarbital sodium. Silver lining, I only need to down 50ml instead of the usual 200ml.

Yep it's the foulest taste known to man. Our language doesn't have the right words to describe it.

How much did you try?

Have you tried numbing your tongue with lidocaine? Pinching your nose?
