  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at admin@sanctioned-suicide.net.

Without a doubt- this is one of the worst ways to go, especially as it drags out over time for so many people.
Sadly, jumping is not accessible to me so I have no choice but to get SN and other drugs when I am not lazy.

Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge

The clearance below is 186 feet (57 m)

And the biggest damn bridge in the entire state of Carolina

Ya-Who!

Also jagged granite rocks at the bottom for extra destructive power

There are some really huge buildings in São Paulo. The fall would most definitely be deadly. I visited New York once and people there most definitely can say the same about their city.
When you live in a huge metropolis, it makes some sense to consider this method. It's free and will kill you. What keeps me from going with it is the fear of pain. Just imagine hitting the ground...

In New York I'm sure it is tougher, in the U.S. windows generally don't open at high enough heights to ctb from. From what other posters have said, in Russia windows open all the way to the top in high buildings, so this is a very common method there. But in the U.S. ctb by jumping is rare since there is no public access to a high enough height to jump from because the windows don't open in most cases. Maintenance workers have access to the roofs typically, but most people don't have access to this. To ctb by jumping in the u.s. you usually would need a high bridge, and most people don't live anywhere near to a high enough bridge here.

beachy head cliffs in UK is 500ft but there are party-poopers walking the cliffs looking for potential jumpers as someone jumps every week or two

From what I have heard beachy head is still possible, you just have to get familiar with the area and don't look depressed when you are there and don't hesitate when you get a chance. It is not as heavily patrolled as the golden gate bridge, probably because it covers a larger area. There are a lot of bridges that can work, but most most people the drive is too far to get to a high enough bridge.

yeah, i was thinking of turning up in my car with a bike, wearing waterproof type cycling gear, then riding off really fast - would be easier than jumping

But that would make you stand out like crazy, the whole thing is to blend in- they monitor this site, they'll watch for bicycles now. Maybe it could work, but SI is real- you're better off blending in in case you decide to back out on a given day.

There was an actor model named Sam Sarpong that CBTed by jumping from a bridge, but before he jumped, he was there for 7 hours while police tried to talk him down. This is my fear, going to the location but being too scared to jump, and then the police arriving.

Yes, there's no doubt thast you need to have a strong will to push through it- if yu can't push through it right away then leave and try another day- most police won't wait seven hours in tthe u.s., that won't happen.
