since this is my first post here, i want to introduce myself to you guys. I am a 18 year old high school senior in America. I have been lurking on here for two weeks so far, it seems like a nice community for help and support. My life is going downhill quickly... I lost the only true Friend i had, i got a fucking 854 on the SAT last school year, i failed most of my classes, and my relationship between my parents and me is getting worse and worse as the days pass by. My father and mother are the only people i have close in my life. I don't think i have any future ahead of me, i might CTB in the next 7 months if things get worse. is anyone in a same situation as i am?

I also do not think that I have any future, I only exist for the sake of existing. I'm sorry that you are suffering so much, I know that it can be dreadful when things just get worse, this life is so depressing. I wish you the best in whatever you decide to do.

How did you lose your friend?

a couple months ago he randomly ghosted me and never contacted me back again. i had known him since Elementary School, and at one point of time he lived in the same home as me. its really painful for me because he was one of the only people in my life that i could express my thoughts clearly to.

Schools these days are getting worse than before. Many students are on the same boat.

Im not planning on going to college. I am trying to get all of my CompTia Certifications in order to get a Entry level IT job
i already have my A+ and ITF+ certs. I already have FL prepaid college, but i might just use that for extra cash flow.

Listen my friend, at 18 years old you still have time on your side to get to where you want to be. I think the best advice at that age I would have wanted is this, fix one problem at a time. So long as you are doing something everyday to fix one problem you will start ticking things off your list pretty fast. Dont give up yet, this isnt failure it's just a stumble. The ball is yours now run...

I've felt terrible since 7th Grade. Things haven't gotten better, only worse for me. why should i continue living just for that tiny bit of copium that my life might turn around? I understand your opinion, but i don't want to live like this forever.

We must all try, that we owe ourselves. At 18 especially in the US life begins at 21. No more institutions. You get to be an adult, that is when you make real choices, where do you want to live, where do you want to work. It's only from this age and above could one say they have tried. I promise you my friend you haven't tried, schooling is not life that's not you making choices, that's you following orders. I will always support everyone in their right to choose but from the info I have seen above you haven't seen real life for long enough to be properly informed.

Dont ctb because of studies, its not worth it.

You are such a loooooooooong way from forever at 18, you have no idea. Listen to what the other are saying.

I feel like we don't really have the entire picture here, yet, with regard to T90.

Hey, this is a well written introduction. Sucks that you're feeling down and sorry to hear about your friend. I'm guessing you have an idea why he ghosted you? I have a few ideas worth considering if you aren't sure.

Anyway, grades mean less than you realize so I wouldn't worry about the SAT score, just focus on graduating. You can fail a few classes and still graduate and you definitely don't need to go to college to have a great future. Screw college and going into debt to get a degree that no one will give a shit about.
Trade school is easy to get into and you're already planning on getting certified so you're doing better than a lot of people already. I know it seems bleak and far away now and probably feels pointless or even hopeless, but it will fall into place even if it doesn't seem like it now.

Your parents no doubt care for you and with you getting older, they're wanting what they think is best for you. What parents want for you sometimes doesn't align with what you want for you. It's stressful for everyone, but that doesn't mean it's getting worse. I'm generally speaking of course. Why do you think it's getting worse with them?

Ultimately, ctb is your choice but I personally wouldn't want someone at 18 to consider that choice. You gotta at least wait until you can legally buy alcohol and drink a few problems away every now and then lol

Friend. I want you to take a step back and open your eyeballs for a minute. Tests mean nothing. College isn't a necessity for happiness, much less an Ivy League name and associated price tag. I dropped out of high school at 15 because I wanted to fly off a bridge. I got my GED and mom made me go to community college. I eventually found my footing, finished my bachelor's degree and went on to start and stop three different masters programs because why not.

Standardized testing is grade A bullshit, coming from a career student and current public school teacher. Grades aren't indicative of your capabilities. Don't let the stress of high school be the reason you can't enjoy your family and future.

My Family is falling apart. my mother and father have been divorced since 2011.
everyone in my family is distancing themself away from me. i live in a small town in Florida,
and i have pretty much burned all bridges between people i used to be friends with.
everyone basically knows me as "that one autistic kid who spergs random shit"
i have nobody to talk to about issues i have, in real life, im just stuck with only myself
some of the time i go through the entire school day without talking to anybody at all.
if i CTB (i am not planning to yet ) it will probably be because of my
worsening family relations, and my social life, not because of my school-grade.
im here mostly to express my true emotions to someone

You sound quite intelligent. I hope things do improve for you. Certainly, with your intelligence, you are capable of fixing some of things you mention, the ones within your control. The ones out of your control, are just that, out of your control. I'm not trying to talk you out of, or even into, anything, or persuade you one way or another in whatever decision you make when you are ready to make it. I say keep expressing here and see where things go. Only you'll know if things get better to the point where they are acceptable to you, or if they don't.

I understand what you're going through. Most people here also suffer a lot from loneliness. I feel alone everyday. Sometimes I also rarely speak with anyone at work. Sometimes there are bad days and sometimes there are bearable days. So even if it seems unbearable right now life goes around. I wish you the best and I hope things get better.
