• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Well I've been lowkey avoiding this site, mostly because I feel embarrassed because I scared to re-read my old posts. Regardless of how cringe I imagine I sound, I'm doing a whole lot better when I made those posts. It's odd, to be honest, because somehow it feels like me being better has undermined those distraught moments.

Anyway, just an update. Currently right now I'm trying to improve my self-care, and instead of being envious of those around me and their progress regarding their personal goals I ought to focus on mine. I think currently I've found purpose in wanting to make political change, it's helped me not to feel as powerless.

Additionally, I suffer a lot from arrogance, I'm a very prideful person which makes me inflexible. Also, since I'm judgmental, it also makes acknowledging mistakes that much harder. I want to take accountability, and be more responsible in my life. It's hard to do that with pride and arrogance. I'm not sure how to untangle that aspect from myself. Until I do I don't think I can truly live with flexibility, compassion, and humility.

One thing that works against pride and arrogance is old age. Having the body fall apart and depend on others can force a change in perspective. At the end of life one thing that can change is the view of youthful ambitions such as fame and prominence, money, and power. What becomes of greater value are the relationships one has built. Sadly fpr many parents who invested little of themselves with their children, they find in old age their children have little interest in them.

As you rebuild your life, you may consider how you can invest yourself in others and build something that is more rewarding than that which feeds pride.

Thank you for the advice, it's hard work to invest in people. But I completely get the value of communities and others the more I age. I've been trying to wrap my head around the various concepts of "love, kindness, compassion, forgiveness, and redemption." For myself and others. Doing it in practice is hard for me.

I find that arrogance sometimes stems from that very emotion of envy, it's like some sort of defence mechanism.
The mere fact the you are recognizing these issues and have the will to change makes you a great person, stay strong <3
