So I was in the psychiatric ward where I got diagnosed with personality disorder. I spent there over 2 months. The thing is I didn't allow any of my family members to access medical information about me. But my family kept asking and asking my doctor about my health, and they finally told them that I was going to be referred to the special clinic where they treat personality disorders. I didn't bother much about it then, although something seemed off to me that they told my family about it. It's almost like saying the diagnosis without permission.
After a one year after this event I told about it my friend. And they said to me that I could sue them for it. I guess it's too late now, however, after realising that the doctor from the hospital breach their confidentiality gives me a lingering feeling of betrayal.
