• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Maybe read some books from famous atheist thinkers like Dawkins and Hitchens etc. That might calm your mind, that there is nothing to worry about concerning non existence. But probably won't work for everyone. I wish you a peaceful exit if that's what you choose.

If you don´t kill yourself but live untill you die "natural" you still don´t know what comes after dead. We all will know some day what comes after dead. Although the latest findings in brain research tell us that we will never know, because there is nobody and nothing left that could experience, remember or regret anything when we are dead. For me this is a very reassuring vision.

This is such an important insight about suicide, and it helps me get closer: you're gonna die anyway.

I need to set my mind right with more atheist content. For some reason I drifted into religion over my years of mental illness. I had feelings of guilt I wanted washed away. I had loser resentment and wanted the intellectual mainstream to be wrong. I did a lot of damage to myself when I jumped into religion, even though it only ever lasted months.

I still put on my scapular before I attempt. It's a Catholic thing ostensibly from a Marian apparition--the story is no one who dies wearing one goes to hell. So that tells you where my head is.

This might interest you in regards to your question.

If you don't feel like watching it, it's pretty much what @Gustav Hartmann said. Nobody knows for sure and you're going to die either way.
