  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

How do you get over fear of CTB?

My life is beyond awful. I have a painful disease that will likely leave me disabled at some point, I have nobody that cares about me, and I wouldn't ever want to find love knowing that I'd just end up being a burden eventually with how bad my physical state will be. Basically, things are terrible and I know they will never get better.

I want to CTB. But I'm afraid of it. How do you get over that fear?

It's a need, not a want.

By having a shitty life, not something you pick up at the store.

Need or not, it wouldn't be fair to ask that of someone.

I do have a very shitty life. Like, there's genuinely no reason for me to go on. It's a deep primal fear, not a "I have a reason to go on and will miss something" fear.

I believe that I will eventually reach a point of desperation, where I cannot take anymore of this life and I cannot think past the thoughts of suicide. I will know it is time to leave deep down and I will have no more fears. I think for me it is also the fear of failing a method that holds me back. Ctb is difficult as we are programmed to survive. If it was easier, I would already be gone. We all deserve the option of euthanasia.

Not fair to steal someone's food when you're starving, either. Doesn't get rid of the need.

I'm sorry youre suffering in this way. Is there some sort of treatment or something that might improve things?

Getting over the fear, at least from my current view, is very much a journey. A personal one at that. For some it might look like slowly getting to it and trying to get it to lose its power, it might just be a case of waiting until you're 100% mentally and physically ready. Others choose to just power through, likely with the help of mind altering substances like drugs or alcohol. I don't think there's one easy formula but if I could give any advice is not to rush it.
