Don't go jumping. I've read or know of 4 cases where people have been left disabled. I used to think that's how I'd go but you need to be at some height to ensure you die.

Health services are a mess globally and there is not much anyone can do for MH issues anyway.

They should just make it accessible for those of us who want to so we can access euthanasia.

It is so incredibly inhumane how people are denied access to peaceful suicide methods. That leads to such tragic cases and even more agony and suffering.

This is why jumping is very risky but many people still choose this method because theres nothing else. Its incredibly inhumane how all of the good methods are being stripped from our reach gradually and we are left with these brutal and unreliable methods. I'm sorry for that guy, he is in a much worse state than before…

Also the main reason I would never jump tbh.

If you are going to jump from height, at least do it into water. If the fall doesn't kill you/render you unconscious the water will finish the job.

He was extremely Ill mentally with dangerous psychosis (break from reality) which is one reason why his attempt went so badly.
"They failed him, had they acted when he was taken to A&E and the day before the incident when he asked to be taken in he wouldn't have been there that day," Marie added. "Now he's in hospital with a broken spine, broken pelvis, and he's still saying he wants to kill himself. He might not be able to walk again.

That sounds horrific, it disgusts me how people are denied more peaceful and reliable method options, those who want to die shouldn't have to suffer much more from a failed attempt, it's really so terrifying how that can happen.

It's always heartbreaking to read about people who jump from bridges. The failure rate is so high and it just makes their lives even worse than before with all the physical consequences.

Most fatalities jumping from Mway bridges or overpasses of which I've read have resulted from being hit by vehicles passing underneath. They really aren't high enough for serious consideration, but this poor guy was mentally unstable.
Here in the part of Scotland I'm in mental health facilities are a sick joke. And there are so few cops, who aren't medically qualified anyway, your chance of them intervening to escort people to or from Hospital or home is vanishingly small.
