Help failed attempt but can i still OD?

my wrist attempt failed but it doesn't surprise me. last night i took around 4000mg of acetaminophen and this morning i took 2 more also 4 more pills of DPH. my stomach hurts a bit, i feel sleepy and lightheaded. how much more do i need to take for OD. my body weight is light [109 lbs] so i assume it shouldn't take too much for CTB.

Take it from someone who's tried before overdosing on Acetaminophen. The chance of success is extremely low. Wrist cutting is extremely difficult to pull off as well. It's not that people are saying it's impossible and it has to do with the practicality of it all. Only a small percentage of people are successful with these methods. They are akin to gambling with poor odds. You will likely only be torturing yourself And no one here wants to see you suffer Unnecessarily.

I followed all your threads yesterday in real time and was quite worried knowing the low success rate and high pain from the method you were doing.
At this point, I think it is in your best interest to not continue by eating more acetominophen or dph, they are just not very reliable.

To succeed with exsanguination, you need to sever an artery. Most are well protected by bone, cartridge and connective tissue. It's extremely painful too.
Please find an alternative to paracetamol. It's a horrible, lingering, painful method at best. A place on the transplant waiting list otherwise.

You've taken less than half of what might be a lethal dose. At this point, your options are few, and all of them painful. You can keep taking pills. However, acute acetaminophen takes days to kill you. If you do nothing, your body will begin to suffer from liver damage, most likely. It might not kill you, and will probably make you wish you were dead more than now. You're past the point of no return for a very miserable time.

If you want to continue to OD on acetaminophen, you will need to probably take another 12 grams, for 16 grams total to be sure. The LD50 dose in rats was about 1 gram per kilogram of bodyweight. Mice was about .3 grams per kilogram of bodyweight.

I am really sorry you felt this was your only way out. You do not deserve to suffer like this. I hope you find peace soon.

Probably. I can't say for certain, but I would put good odds on that causing some damage to your liver that may, or may not be permanent.

Ironically, your failed attempt might have put you in a better place, in terms of CTB and suffering. Assuming you go into liver failure, there's only so much they can do. You will need a transplant. However, you can refuse a transplant, or more likely not be considered for one at all because of your suicide attempt. They tend to frown on giving livers to people who intentionally destroyed the first one. In that case, you might be able to get end of life palliative care.

If you tell them you took 5 grams of acetaminophen, they will do a lot more than water. I honestly don't know if you've hit an irreversable point. I know that for some ODs, they use dialysis to help filter the blood. However, since acetaminophen is processed by the liver, I am not sure if dialysis would be helpful. I think it probably would.

I ODed on asprin. Because it messed with the PH in my blood (asprin being acidic), there was a lot of IV fluids of different kind, sodium bicarb, potassium, Lactated Ringer's, probably a few others I am forgetting all in an effort to protect my kidneys. I was fortunate (in hindsight) not to have suffered permanent kidney damage.

If your goal is still to CTB, then delaying medical attention would be the best wait to obtain that goal. I wish you didn't have to suffer, though.

They would give you charcoal or some sort of absorption Substance for you to swallow and put in your Stomach to absorb the toxins that aren't already absorbed by your liver. After the toxins have been absorbed by your liver then the liver needs to heal on its own. If you actually do damage the liver beyond repair it's an excruciating death as other users have explained.

my sister just made sure I ate and drank water. american healthcare is not good and suicide is already shamed here.
