Oh gosh. I'm imagining an SN waterfall gushing out of someone's ass now.
Thanks for the horrible image dude lmfao. A guy in chat was legit thinking of using this method yesterday. I think he was serious anyway.

Good grief. If this (dumb) idea comes up again, tell them to do a trial run using just warm water. They'll figure it out then.

This is possible, but as long as it's a big enough dose, I think the chances of a "rescue" are pretty slim. It's a pretty short window; 15-20 min to kick in, then after 10 min of O2 deprivation you're done. Plus, unless you told them what you had ingested, I guarantee both EMS and the attending physician are going to be initially scratching their heads, trying to figure out what's going on.
I read someone here that only took a stat dose of meto and took anti acid too and was in awful pain for 45 mins before he was drugged up by rescue. They said he was close to death tho. He vomited 3 times. I also will only do a stat dose as im forced to take 300 seroquel everyday. Im willing to suffer for an hour or two if it means i can die even if i vomit several times. What do you think? I really hope i can get the items as nz customs is fucking strict.

So... he took SN and was rescued?

@Anje
I only know of 2 members taking stat dose of meto, vomiting and being saved, @axorz and @drakewantstogo, who were both taken to medical care very quickly. As @gingerplum says and based on member accounts, the window for being saved isn't large.

Sorry, I didn't follow at first that you were referencing someone on this forum. To address your concerns, I've heard stories of SN fails from at least two people on this forum; one walked outside for a cigarette and passed out, the other tried to walk around her hotel room, staggered and broke some stuff, alerting someone to come check on her. Neither one complained of pain or discomfort.

I would do the 24-48 hr regimen with the meto, then a stat dose as well. As long as you have a minimum of an hour or so, I think you will be fine.

That makes me more hopeful. Ideally, I'll have several hours. However, my mom and her sleep habits are a bit unpredictable. If my dad is snoring massively, she'll go try to sleep on the couch. We have a small house, so it's a little to close for comfort. She also has a tendency to wake up at like 3 in the morning, and she'll go out and read, and then go back to bed when/if she gets tired. I know she sometimes looks in on me, since I've been so sick lately, but I think it's just a quick peak to make sure I'm sleeping. I don't think she's like checking my pulse or anything . And it will be dark, so as long as I can keep it together, climb into bed, and cover up with a blanket, she shouldn't see that anything is amiss. I was going to do it in the bathroom, but if she happens to be wandering around that particular night, it would be a sure fire way of being found too soon. Sorry for my babbling, I guess I'm trying to convince myself that it will be okay and i'll have plenty of time.

Edit: I know how silly it sounds, a middle aged person being looked in on by her mom, but I've been sick my whole adult life. I've never even lived away from my parents.

Crohn's disease, gastroparesis, and ocular migraines are the big ones. Also anxiety and OCD. But what has pushed me over the edge is an undiagnosed neurological/vestibular disorder. My biggest fear is MS, but my neurologist says it's probably "just" vestibular migraines. I'm just tired of the never ending doctors, tests, and meds that don't work. I'm struggling to stay above 80 pounds right now, and if I fall any lower, my GI has threatened to have me hospitalized with a feeding tube (she's an idiot who thinks I just need to push through the pain and nausea and eat more). Hopefully I can at least maintain my weight for a little while longer, but one bad gut day and the pounds just fall off.

Isn't there the risk of passing out before ingesting a fatal dose?
It's basically common sense. Look up, cerebral hypoxia. That's how most people end up in a vegetative state, by damage to the brain, as a result of lack of oxygen reaching it. It's pretty unlikely, if you take the required dose, don't vomit, or are not rescued at the wrong time, but it's still a risk.
When you're a vegetable, do you still have memories or are you aware that you're a vegetable? Bc if your mind is pretty much wiped out, I'd be better off than now

With regards to OP's question, nitrites are carcinogenic, so I suppose you could look forward to cancer down the road if you should decide to live.

15 to 20 grams of SN mixed in 50-100 ml of water is a pretty small amount. If you make capsules, it will take a little longer to down 15-20 of them, but since they're not going to dissolve immediately, I think the risk is pretty small that you'll pass out before consuming them. The main issues with SN failure appear to be either vomiting or being discovered (or getting scared and calling for help

Edit: You could prepare a living will/advanced directive stating you want the plug pulled in the case you're in a vegetative state. Of course you then have to hope that the hospital honors your wishes. It's been said here that they won't honor a DNR in the case of suicide, but a persistent vegetative state might be a whole different ballgame.

You're not going to pass out for at least 10 minutes, so it's critical to get at least the minimum dosage down in that time.

If you're in a vegetative state, I don't believe you have any awareness, but there is possible sensation of pain:

This is an excellent point! Granted, it's a one-time exposure, but it's a pretty massive, systemic one.

Yes, if you're very specific in your living will, hopefully your wishes about not remaining in a persistent vegetative state will be honored. However, it's not a simple as pulling a plug; people in this state typically don't depend on life support, and can live for many years... remember the Terry Schiavo circus? It's a matter of withdrawing nutrition and fluids and doing only comfort care until nature takes its course.

Omg. Oh my god. You poor baby, I'm so sorry! Every day must be torture for you; no one should have to live like that. You must be unbelievably strong to have made it this far; I can't imagine anyone not understanding why you don't want to exist like this. I'm so sorry you're struggling with such devastating health issues.
